As a therapist, I believe that everyone has the ability to heal their own wounds. Sometimes, we just need to find the right environment for support. My approach to healing utilize a holistic lens incorporating mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual elements. Through this method, my clients learn to regulate their nervous system and gain a sense of control, turning unconscious reactions into conscious responses.

In the first session together, I will conduct a simple assessment to gather information regarding your background, presenting problem and current symptoms. Once we determine that we are a good fit, we will collaborate on treatment goals and begin working towards these goals.

Two years ago, the world was turned upside down by this little thing called COVID. In spite of the chaos, not all change was bad. COVID gave us the opportunity to take advantage of the technological advances, making therapy more convenient than ever!
Once our initial session is scheduled, you will receive an email inviting you to personalized client portal. There, you will find all of the initial intake paperwork to be completed before our session.
On the day before our scheduled session, you’ll be sent a secured Zoom link via a second email for our video session. On the day of the session, all you have to do is click the link, and you’re ready to go.

Although therapy is tailored to each client’s individual needs, typically a new client will meet with me weekly for the first 6 weeks. After, we will re-evaluate and determine if any changes need to be made. These first few weeks are vital to establishing a solid foundation for our therapeutic relationship. If this does not seem viable due to your individual circumstances, don’t worry, I am open to being creative, and we’ll create a system that works for you.

Generally, the length of treatment varies from person to person based on their needs. While some clients like to come in and address their presenting issues and then be on their merry way; others find value in long term commitments to help them stay grounded and manage through unexpected stressors.
As a rule of thumb, a 3 month investment in yourself is an industry standard to help establish the foundation for change, but there’s no hard fast rule. The most important element is to explore what works for you.
